US Govt., Apple issue warning on threat posed by Masque Attack to iOS devices

The ‘WireLurker’ was a jolt for Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Over 35,6500 iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were infected earlier this month when users downloaded some apps from a third party store in China.

Now, US Govt. and Apple itself have warned Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users and iPad users regarding the vulnerability of iOS to “Masque Attack”. The warning from the Govt. appeared on an online bulletin from the National Cybersecurity and Communication Readiness Teams.
