Gold iPad could be that special treat at Apple’s September 9 event
If you for some reason were amid non-believers that Apple would ever make a gold iPad –Apple’s September 9 press event could just prove you wrong.
According to analysts, Apple may not wait until its scheduled media event in October to introduce its new iPad Air – iPad Air 2. Rather, it could reveal the much awaited tablet on September 9 with – yes, you guess it right, a gold-colored metal casing!
In the investors note from KGI Securities (released just yesterday), analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (who has a weird record of getting prediction correct about new Apple products) says, Apple launch the iPad Air 2 on Tuesday’s event with some exciting new features. Alongside the iPhone 6 and the iPad Air 2 (iWatch may not be launching) Apple would also reveal new iPad Mini, perhaps with only a fingerprint scanner upgrade.
The Air 2 in its gold avatar could however see major feature upgrade in specs. In addition to the exciting golden color, the Air 2 could get an anti-reflective coating over cover lens, a rocking A8 processor, a Touch ID/ fingerprint scanner, 8-megapixel rear camera and full lamination on the touch panel.
